GPU server infrastructure and security

Explore Bestconnect GPU server infrastructure in Poland: single tenant, 10–40 Gbit/s, public IPv4, a 99.9% SLA and default L3/L4 DDoS filtering.

The GPU server is hosted at the 4DataCenter facility in Katowice, Poland, and is dedicated to one business customer. Bestconnect is responsible for the physical machine, colocation, power, cooling, the network up to the server port and hardware diagnostics. The customer has administrative control of its own operating system.

Physical infrastructure in Katowice

The hardware is located in the 4DC2 data hall. The facility uses two independent power paths, independent UPS systems, a generator and redundant cooling systems. It also provides access control, monitoring, a fire suppression system and 24/365 technical duty.

These are data-centre infrastructure parameters. The binding availability level for the Bestconnect service remains the standard 99.9% SLA, measured and credited under the Terms and the individual Order.

Facility operator: 4DataCenter.

Network sized for the server

The standard configuration includes a 10 Gbit/s port. Bonded 20 Gbit/s is an optional upgrade, while 40 Gbit/s is prepared on request after technical and commercial confirmation. The server has a 2×10G network adapter; the selected port profile, guaranteed transfer parameters and the implementation of a 40 Gbit/s option are recorded in the Order.

Each server can use a public /30, /29 or /28 IPv4 subnet. The gateway is part of the usable pool, leaving 1, 5 or 13 addresses respectively for customer devices. Routing details are confirmed before activation.

DDoS traffic protection by default

Every active service includes network-level DDoS filtering without a separate protection package. The protection layer analyses traffic, detects anomalies and automatically limits volumetric and protocol attacks at layers 3 and 4, including SYN, UDP and ICMP floods and amplification attacks. Rules are adapted to the detected attack vector so legitimate traffic can continue to reach the server.

The filter covers the Bestconnect network layer. The customer remains in control of the operating system, exposed services and application configuration.

From enquiry to activation

We first confirm the business, available hardware, selected configuration, VAT treatment and expected activation date. The Order then defines the price, term, addressing, network profile and support scope. Only then do we begin preparing the specific machine.
